Process safety and nuclear safety is my passion over the last twenty years. During this period, among others, I obtained extensive knowledge in the international arena about Process Safety Management Systems, Lessons Learned from Incidents, Emergency Response, Capacity Building and many more.
Having worked with the most significant international companies on various projects in process safety, leading Technical Working Groups in the last decade has provided me with a very exclusive opportunity to gain insight of the expertise and good practices of these companies.
Sitting in the IChemE’s Loss Prevention Bulletin Editorial Panel and the IChemE Hazards conference Technical Committee, I have a thorough understanding and wide view on the current challenges and new developments, tools, and techniques in improving process safety. Being involved in network activities with international authorities from the EU, UN and the OECD provides a unique opportunity to observe the challenges that competent authorities and inspectors face.
